Welcome to the world of The Accounting Library. Put quite simply, this powerful tool has been designed to assist companies define their accounting software requirements in as much detail as appropriate, compare those needs against the best products on the market, and rank each product according to how close it matches the user's requirements. Rather than spending countless hours creating a basic needs definition from scratch, trying to determine which products might be appropriate candidates, and trying to determine which products seem to meet their needs, The Accounting Library gives users a proven methodology and database by which all of this can be accomplished far more rapidly and accurately than possible using any other approach.
The Accounting Library has helped thousands of companies, either directly or through the nearly 1,000 resellers and consultants who are our subscribers, select software since 1989. In 1997, The Accounting Library re-written for Windows 95 and Windows 3.x. Also, an entirely new suite of features was added to the analysis program with the result that it can meet the varying needs of end-users from those organizations searching for entry level systems all the way to Fortune 500 companies whose requirements tend to be quite complex. We have achieved this objective by offering three separate editions of the analysis program.
Standard Edition: The Standard Edition of The Accounting Library contains a database of information on 115+ accounting products from entry level systems to the client/server environment. Each vendor was asked 2000+ questions concerning product functionality as well as more general corporate and product information. The current price of the Standard Edition is $395.00 (including six months of free updates as well as free technical and "consulting" support). Beyond the first six months, subscribers pay an annual subscription fee of $125.00.
Client/Server Edition:The Client/Server Edition's database contains information on 150+ accounting products ranging from entry-level systmes all the way up to enterprose client/server financial management products. Each vendor was asked 3000+ questions concerning product functionality as well as more general corporate and product information. The current price of the Client/Server Edition is $995.00 (including six months of free updates as well as free technical and "consulting" support). Beyond the first six months, subscribers pay an annual subscription fee of $125.00.
Modifiable Edition: Since some users requirements will be far more complex than even our standard 2000+ (or 3000+ for client/server) questions can meet, we have created a separate edition which gives users and/or their consultants the ability to add, modify, or delete any of the questions or products in the database. Starting with the standard list of questions, users can add, modify, or delete quesitons in the ten applications we currently examine (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory, Order Entry, Job Costing, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and System Manager), or add any number of additional applications in which they have an interest, and then create for each of these applications any number of quesitons specific to their organization. In addition, users can add any number of products to the database or delete any products in which they have no interest. Rather than spending hundred of hours creating a detailed written RFP, users can create the same needs definition, but with the power to analyze each vendor's responses and determine which products seem to be most appropriate. This powerful analytical tool has been priced at $1295.00.
