SBT source code provision allows SBT resellers to make unlimited modifications to SBT products.
SBT Customization Manager
This new module in Pro Series 6.0 allows users to make changes to the screens and preserve changes when future builds are installed (Visual FoxPro required). With Customization Manager, Pro Series 6.0 compiled or source code customers can create custom screen forms as subclasses of existing forms (change field labels, size, fonts, colors, display, etc. of static fields), make custom screens available to specific users/companies (custom screens automatically load for users or groups of users), and keep their customizations when they install Pro Series updates (since the customized form is a subclass of an SBT base class, your changes are preserved and even SBT maintenance changes are inherited to the subclass form.)

SBT's Internet strategy is closely allied with our unique strengths in the manufacturing / distribution / service sectors. SBT entered the Internet arena in 1995, the first accounting software developer with a dedicated Internet Division. SBT's primary Internet products, WebTrader and ProAlert, ship with SBT Pro Series. These modules provide the framework that a business needs to enter the e-commerce arena.
SBT WebTrader allows the user to open an Internet storefront for their business, giving them worldwide round-the-clock exposure to potentially millions of Internet users. WebTrader provides templates for an Internet home page and forms such as sales orders, inquiries/leads, customer surveys, and product registrations. Additionally, it provides the ability to capture all the necessary customer and sales information directly into SBT Pro Series. This includes the ability to automatically add a new customer to the customer file used by Sales Orders and Accounts Receivable.
SBT ProAlert is a process server application that detects pre-determined business events and conditions, and automatically performs one or more tasks in response. ProAlert allows users to:
- define triggering events and the conditions under which an event occurs
- define the actions they want ProAlert to perform in response to events, and
- once they have defined events and actions, and assigned actions to events, they can use the ProAlert polling process to search for event occurrences. The polling process can be set to run continuously, or a specified polling schedule can be set up to check for event occurrences only at specific date and time intervals.
WebTrader and ProAlert have been successfully integrated with SBT Pro Series to deliver a "hit the bricks running" Internet commerce solution.
In addition to WebTrader and ProAlert, a number of SBT third party e-commerce solutions are also available. For instance, Elevator, by Silverware, Inc., is a top-selling SBT third party e-commerce solution that's tightly integrated with SBT Pro Series. Elevator's Dynamic Catalog allows customers to check their account status, look up items and place orders directly on your web site. The catalog based shopping cart is dynamically created with your SBT data. The dynamic catalog will calculate shipping, sales tax, and process credit cards via your web site.
Elevator's ELFtp File Transfer program acts as a 'robot' moving data between your web site and SBT. This can be done with a standard dial-up Internet account. No costly permanent Internet connection is needed!
The SBT Function Set configures the Dynamic Catalog, and enhances the SBT inventory and customer databases for e-commerce. Additional information is added to SBT such as pictures, additional descriptions, and related items.
SBT's Internet strategy will continue to incorporate add-on technologies developed by SBT Integration Partners, in order to provide the most comprehensive menu of e-commerce solutions available to the mid-market.

SBT will continue to put a great deal of emphasis on its #1 rated Pro Series product. SBT will continue to develop this product using 100% Microsoft technology. The current version, Pro Series 6.0, contains enhanced browser technology and drill down capabilities not found in other mid-market accounting products. SBT PowerDrill with enhanced drill down and data view capabilities allows for relational data views, and drill-down on key fields into transaction details. Users can print and customize the content, format and color of their data views. Additionally, they can launch SBT PowerDrill from their desktop either without launching SBT, or while SBT is running.
Pro Series 6.0 features enhanced Payroll reports for history, providing an additional reporting option on the History table for three PR reports:

ASP support is another area of technology that SBT has been involved in for some time. Many SBT resellers are successfully running applications for their clients via remote servers. SBT has been conducting intensive in-house research and development on ASP. SBT will, at a future date, introduce an SBT product that leverages the most beneficial aspects of ASP technology.

SBT sells exclusively through a channel of more than 3,000 authorized Value Added Resellers (VARs). Each SBT VAR provides products, service and support to individual clients. SBT VARs are trained to modify SBT accounting packages via access to source code, and to offer third party add-on solutions to SBT products.
In addition, SBT customers can purchase technical support packages, or SBT Support plans, directly from SBT Accounting Systems. For instance, an SBT end user can purchase from SBT a basic support plan which includes:
